Colleton County Middle School educates 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students in Colleton County, South Carolina.

Our mission is to provide meaningful learning experiences for all students.

Tuskegee Airmen 6th grade Learning Community

Bringing the Standards to life, STEM teaching at CCMS Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics.

STEM teaching engages students in learning through integrated units that are based on core content standards, connected by trans-disciplinary big ideas. Tuskegee learning community infused with processes from the STEM disciplines with opportunities for students to design, collaborate, think critically, and develop Habits of Mind, which are 21st century “survival” skills for success in college, career, and life interactions.

ACE Basin Natural Resources School

 The concept of a Natural Resource School is to integrate wildlife, natural resources, outdoor skills and conservation education into all aspects of the classroom. Students will be taught the same state standards as other students. The goal is to improve student achievement, critical thinking skills and student interest in conservation. This will build an appreciation towards natural resources, wildlife, outdoor activities and conservation while including a challenging academic curriculum.

Low Country School of the Arts

An arts-infused school is a place where the arts are spread throughout the school culture. During the core classes visual arts, movement, music and other forms of creative expression will be included in the teaching and learning process. Students will be exposed to the arts while learning the same state standards as other students. This will build an appreciation of the arts while students continue to be challenged academically.
